ST JOSEPH'S Primary School in Tadcaster came a step closer to building an adventure playground in its school grounds last weekend.
The school held a summer fair complete with stalls, refreshments, face painting and a tombola and managed to raise £1,449 from the event in aid of its new playground.

The money will help pay for a series of walkways, balance beams and other play facilities which the school plans to build on its currently tarmacked outdoor area.

It will also help fund a quiet garden facility which the school hopes to develop with pots and plants to benefit its youngsters.

As well as all the stalls, the fair hosted a barbecue, plant sale and a raffle.
