NEARLY 1,000 people attended the Collingham Churches Together Village Gala in blazing sunshine on Sunday.
On offer was an exciting police dog display followed by a dancing display by the Sharon Ellis School of Dance.

Children also enjoyed activities including a bouncy castle while their parents looked at stalls and enjoyed a barbecue and drinks tent.

The organising committee wish to thank all those who gave their time and support on the day.

They also wish to thank all the local shops and residents who generously gave gifts to the tombola and raffle stalls as well as sponsors, Wetherby Chiropdy Practice, Thunder Road, Collingham and Shadwell Nurseries.

Following the successful community event 300 people also attended an open air church service later in the day.

See this Friday's Wetherby News for pictures from the event.
