HARROGATE squash sensation Jenny Duncalf has been named top seed for next month's British National Squash Championships in Manchester.
The world number three will looking to retain the title she won last year at the tournament which will be staged at the National Squash Centre in Sportcity from February 9-14.
In the Men's, top seed Sheffield's Nick Matthew is also favourite to win.
Success would make Matthew and Duncalf the first pair of champions in the 36-year history of the championships to retain their titles simultaneously.
Duncalf's main threat in the women's event appears to come from London, the home of second seed Alison Waters, the world number six.
The pair have shared the titles for the past three years - and met in the final in 2007 and 2009, with Duncalf successful in both.
Waters has already kicked off the New Year in fine style, winning the Greenwich Open in the USA without dropping a game.
