local anglers joined in a spring clean-up and 'fished' bicycles, litter bins and signs, which had been dumped by vandals over the past fortnight, out of the River Nidd.
More than 20 residents responded to an invitation from Pateley Bridge Town councillors to attend the clean-up last Saturday.

Similar activities were seen in Glasshouses and Fellbeck over the weekend.

Recipients of grants from the Mayor’s Fund had been invited to participate and Pateley Bridge Dramatic Society and Christ Church, Darley turned out in force. Despite Pateley being a fairly litter-free area compared with nearby towns, more than two dozen bin bags of litter were collected.
