Call for talent to take centre stage
The popular celebration of the arts returns to the town this year with a Showcase event planned for Saturday September 4.
Spokesman and volunteer Ellen Dutton said: “Since 1977, Wetherby Arts Festival has hosted countless performances of dance, comedy, acting, music and more across the town to share creativity with our residents.

“We are introducing an open call for amateur and professional performers and creators to perform at a Wetherby showcase event with a provisional date of Saturday September 4.
“We are hoping to have an array of performances for the show, displaying the talent in the area.
“We are completely open to any kind of music, dance, acting, comedy, or other entertainment that people would like to perform.”
