AS part of the Knaresborough Safer Neighbourhood Team, PC Sue Brookes and PCSO Nicki Smith visited Kids At Heart Nursery at Lingerfield.
Children who attend the nursery range from new borns up to five years old and have been involved in learning about 'people who help us' as part of the National Curriculum.

PC Sue Brookes said: “We were greeted by a very excited group of children who had the opportunity to try on police uniform and interact with us.

“They had the opportunity to view the Mobile Police Office, and had their fingerprint taken which they took away as a bookmark.”

The Safer Neighbourhood team for Knaresborough and Boroughbridge is keen to engage with all aspects of the communites and education always gives them a positive opportunity to do this.

“There have been a number of visits to schools and nurseries within the area recently,” added PC Brookes.

Anyone wishing to speak to their local community officer can contact them by phoning 0845 60 60 24 7 or by e-mailing the team at saferknaresborough@northyorkshire. pnn.police.uk
