NEXT week will be Christian Aid Week running from May 11 to17.
Money is collected throughout the UK to help poor and disadvantaged people in different places around the world and Knaresborough is no exception.

Churches Together always makes strenuous efforts to carry out house to house collections, raising significant amounts of money and is very grateful to all those who contribute.

Even the smallest amounts help to make the work of Christian Aid worthwhile. However, the envelope contents are only part of the combined efforts of the churches, three further special events are being organised in Knaresborough to raise even more money.

Tomorrow there will be a Nearly New Sale from 10am - 12 noon at the United Reform Church, Windsor Lane, Knaresborough when all sorts of goods will be on sale.

This Sunday, May 11, tea will be served on the Terrace at St John’s Church Hall, Knaresborough, from 2pm - 4.30pm.

Finally on Wednesday, May 14, a charity stall selling cakes, buns and scones will be in the Market Place till noon. Your support at any or all of these events would be much appreciated by organisers.
