Staveley and Copgrove Church Services: May I1, Staveley, 9.45am, Eucharist; May 18, Staveley, 9.45am, Village Service; May 18, Copgrove, 11am, Matins; May 25, Staveley, 8.30am, Holy Communion.
Staveley Church: The Gift Day and Coffee Morning held in March raised £1,100 for church funds. The new Rector is The Rev Canon Peter S Midwood. The Collation and Induction Service is being held on Tuesday, May 27, at 730pm in AIl Saints Church, Stave
ley.

All are welcome to attend and refreshments will be served afterwards in the Village Hall.

Staveley Church is looking for someone to organize the Flower Rota. This does not mean doing the flowers yourself every week but persuading others to have a go.

The person to get in touch with regarding this is Meriel Best.

Staveley Church is holding a Brass Band Concert on June 7. More details later.

Staveley Ladies: Staveley Ladies are going to the races at Wetherby on May 29. If anyone is interested in going along get in touch with Julie Smith, Sue Ibbotson or Janet Netherwood before May 22.

Staveley Historical Society: The Historical Society AGM is being held on May 12 in the Village Hall at 7.30pm. All are welcome to attend.

A Coffee Morning is being arranged, date still to be confirmed and hopefully a trip to Shandy Hall, Coxwold is also being arranged.

Staveley and Copgrove Village Hall: The Plant Sale and Coffee Morning in aid of hall funds is being held on Saturday, May 31, from 10am to noon.

There will be a cake stall and bottle stall. If you would like to contribute to these stalls bottles will be accepted at the hall on Thursday, May 29, in the afternoon at the hall and cakes can be brought on the day of the sale.

Staveley and Copgrove Parish Council: The new council will hold its first meeting on Thursday, May 15, at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.

The new Parish Councillors are Peter Edwards for Copgrove and Nicholas Stringer, Ian Griffin, Paul Smith, Michael North and Richard Tesseyman for Staveley. No election was needed for the Parish Council.
