A TALENTED young actress from Knaresborough is set to appear on the stage of the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford.
In total, four pupils from a stage school in Harrogate have been chosen to appear in the forthcoming touring production of 'South Pacific' at the Alhambra.

The children, who all attend Stage Central Theatre School and Casting Agency, were cast by Assistant Director Ed Viney who has been searching for children from stage schools in the Bradford and Leeds area.
He managed to cast all the parts with the local children from the Harrogate area.

The character of Ngana will be played by ten year old Sally Hall, who attends St Mary's RC Primary School in Knaresborough and also by Grace Mcready, who is nine and attends St Joseph's Primary School in Bilton.

William Leaf, 10 and Christian Dumouchel, who is seven, both come from the Wetherby area and they're taking on the part of Ngana's brother, Jerome.

All four are now busy rehearsing in readiness for their debut into professional theatre.

South Pacific features Dave Willetts, whose West End starring roles include Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and also Helena Blackman, who was runner-up in BBC1's How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?

The show, from the producers of 42nd Street, will be on in Bradford from June 2 to 7.
