HENSHAWS Arts & Crafts Centre in Knaresborough celebrated its tenth anniversary last weekend.
The event, which included Henshaws resident band the Hotspots, a magician, face painting and arts and crafts stalls, was officially opened by the Mayor of Harrogate Coun John Fox and his wife Maggie.

Special birthday sky lanterns were launched as the Mayor and Mayoress were presented with gifts which had been handmade by people in the Arts & Crafts Centre.

Coun Fox said: “I always have such an enjoyable time coming here and I would like to congratulate you on your tenth anniversary and on your fantastic work.”

Visitors were able to enjoy the centre’s sensory garden whilst visually impaired users of the centre conducted tours of the workshops.

Arts & Crafts Centre manager Phill Hopkins said: “We could not have wished for more glorious weather to mark this wonderful milestone. We’d like to thank everyone who made the effort to celebrate with us a decade of achievements and to say that we have exciting plans in the pipeline as we prepare for the next ten years.”
