HOME and Away is the title of the current art exhibition at Knaresborough's Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre on Bond End.
The exhibition showcases woodcut prints and other multi-sensory works by Bradford artists Ruth Fettis and Jo Cook. A preview event was very well attended with artists and art professionals coming from across Yorkshire and since it opened plenty of visitors have been admiring the work on show.
Ruth and Jo have been friends for many years and have a long history of holding exhibitions together, including shows at South Square Gallery, Bradford and Keighley Arts Factory.
Ruth's work has also been shown in Santiago, Chile.
The pair often collaborate together making art, using a variety of techniques in their work including lino printing, mono print and carbarundum.
Ruth Fettis said "I have always loved coming to the Arts and Crafts Centre, it has a very special feel and is inspiring to artists and I am pleased to be showing my work here for the public and also for the visually impaired resident artists to appreciate."
The exhibition shows till June 1 in the Centre's Café Gallery. Opening times are Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm and weekends 10am till 4pm. Free admission and parking available on site.
Note the gallery will be closed on May 21 and 22.
