ON Christmas Eve, the re-enactment of the story of the Nativity will take place in Knaresborough market place.
An annual event, first started in the Millennium year to mark the true meaning of Christmas, members of Knaresborough Churches Together put on the production to tell the Nativity story.

The popular event now attracts hundreds of people every year.

Taking place in the lit-up market square, the characters come to life in a story told complete with narrator and musical accompaniment.

This year, musicians from King James's School and Knaresborough Silver Band will provide the music. Members of the audience are invited to join in the carol singing.

Former mayor of Knaresborough, Mr Robert Aspin will be producing the play.

If you would like to attend the free event on Monday, December 24, the play starts at 6pm. All welcome.
