DETECTIVES in Harrogate are appealing for information following the theft of antiques from a house in the town.
The burglary occurred in the Leeds Road area, on the southern side of the town, between 9pm and midnight on Monday (January 25).

It took place while the residents were at home but were not aware that the thieves were committing the burglary.

Well planned

It is believed that this was a well planned theft due to the way in which the burglars entered the property and the items that they stole.

The items stolen include: two walnut clocks, each valued at several thousand pounds, dessert plates in the Rockingham style, a walnut inkwell, bronze candlesticks, various decorative snuff and knife boxes, a lady's workbox, a canteen of cutlery, a condiment set, a boxed set of tea knives, a boxed set of coffee spoons, items of antique jewellery and a set of 18 china plates.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has any information relating to the whereabouts of any of the stolen items is asked to contact DC Scott Nugent at Harrogate CID on 0845 6060247.
