Ripon and District Forum
A first class lecture with slides and videos on gliding was given by Barry Lumb and Ronald Arkley, both gliding instructors operating at Sutton Bank. The videos, taken from the cockpits of gliders flying over the plain of York, were grand, and the slides taken of the working of the station were very enlightening on the aerodynamics, launching and administration. Altogether this was an absorbing programme.
