Why we are supporting Harrogate's indie shops and why you should back them too
and live on Freeview channel 276
As Harrogate residents, its businesses and retail sector prepare for at least four weeks of lockdown when normal behaviour and spending patterns are severely curtailed, now is the time to join together in the common aim of accentuating the positive.
Despite the economic gloom, many Harrogate businesses will continue to trade through lockdown, in particular, our inspirational independents.

The Harrogate Advertiser will be making a point throughout the whole of November, and even into December and run-up to Christmas - of highlighting and supporting our local businesses and shops determined to battle their way through these hard times in an effort to inspire all of us to succeed.
We will be doing so in print and online with details of what businesses are offering and how the public can access their products and services and, in doing so, help save local firms and local jobs.
We are inviting our independent traders to get in touch with us so we can do our bit to help them.

But the emphasis will be to champion the positive things we can all do to help the the town’s economy overcome the rain clouds ahead.
The message is simple, if you can, shop local, if you’re buying online,
think local before you click.
And, remember, storms don’t last forever.
